When visiting Hakodate, Hokkaido, trying soup curry is a must. On our first night, we decided to visit King Bear, a highly rated soup curry restaurant located near JR Hakodate Station. King Bear is known for its flavorful soup curry and delicious hamburger patties.

The exterior of the building has a warm yellow tone, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the residential area. While exploring Hakodate, we wanted to start our morning with a good cup of coffee. We were looking for a place that opened early—around 8 AM—had good reviews, and offered an alternative milk option. Luckily, we found a charming little coffee shop near Hakodate Bay that ticked all the boxes, including oat milk.
