After binge-watching the K-drama Itaewon Class, my husband and I wanted to experience Itaewon nightlife ourselves. Earlier in the day, we had visited Namsan for pork cutlet and enjoyed the view from Namsan Tower at night - you can click [Here] to read about that adventure. Since Itaewon is just a 10-minute bus ride away, it felt like the perfect spot to continue our evening.

Why We Picked Casa Corona Itaewon

We had a different Itaewon bar in mind at first, but it required ordering food, which didn’t work for us—we were already full! That’s when we found Casa Corona Itaewon, a cozy rooftop bar in Itaewon where you can enjoy drinks without needing a full meal.

Cocktails here range from 14,000–18,000 KRW, and they even have mocktails, which was perfect since my husband doesn’t drink. For anyone searching for a hip bar in Seoul or a relaxed rooftop bar in Itaewon, this place is a great choice.

 First Impressions – Club-Like Energy

At the first-floor elevator, they check your ID before letting you up. Once you reach the fourth floor, the door opens straight into Casa Corona. No hallway, no pretence—just music hitting you the moment you walk in.

The interior is warm and tropical, with wood tones, green accents, and rattan dรฉcor. Honestly, it felt like stepping into a chic beach club in Bali, right in the heart of Itaewon.

Music, Vibes, and the Rooftop

The DJ keeps the energy high with upbeat, hip tracks. The main floor can get loud—like “need to raise your voice to talk” loud. Since we wanted a bit more breathing room, we headed up to the rooftop.

The outdoor spaces are surprisingly spacious. There are seats along the stairs, standing tables, and a wide rooftop area. The rooftop bar at Casa Corona Itaewon gives you plenty of room to enjoy Seoul nightlife without feeling cramped.

We picked a spot on the rooftop, and the early summer evening breeze made it just perfect. Drinks are also available outdoors, though in winter, the terrace might get chilly.

Food Policy – Bring Your Own Takeout

Here’s one of my favourite parts: Casa Corona doesn’t serve food, but you can bring takeout from Itaewon (just no outside alcohol).

Travellers can pair their drinks with local food without worrying about extra charges. Many tables around us had takeout boxes from nearby restaurants paired with cocktails and mocktails—it made the experience feel casual, fun, and truly Itaewon-style.

Smoking Area

There’s a designated outdoor smoking area, but it’s far enough from the rooftop that we didn’t notice any smoke. Unless you sit right next to it, it’s not an issue.

From the terrace above, you can look down at Casa Corona’s outdoor space. On the left side, some guests are standing and enjoying a smoke while soaking in the lively Itaewon night.

Final Thought: Loved the Energy

We usually prefer quieter, more intimate bars, so Casa Corona’s lively vibe isn’t exactly our style. But the energy, youthfulness, and Itaewon nightlife spirit made it a memorable night.

If you’re searching for a hip Itaewon bar with:

  • colourful lights and mirror balls,
  • upbeat music,
  • spacious rooftop seating,

Then, Casa Corona Itaewon is a must-visit.

If you’re after a quiet, intimate evening, this isn’t the spot—but for soaking up the Seoul rooftop bar scene and experiencing local energy, it’s perfect
