2023 Trending Korean Concealer: The Saem Correct Beige Review

Why I Tried This Concealer

A few years ago, I stopped using cream concealers because most of them were too dry—they would settle into wrinkles and never fully cover my dark circles. Since then, I’ve been using BB cream with an orange lipstick as a makeshift corrector.

When I saw that The Saem Correct Beige was trending in Korea in 2023 and read positive reviews, I got curious and decided to give it a try.

Product Overview: Correct Beige Concealer

The concealer comes in five shades, and I chose Correct Beige, which combines beige, green, and peach tones.

Dark Beige is made specifically for dark circles, but I went with Correct Beige because I wanted something that could also tackle redness around my nose and dark spots.

Shade Breakdown:

  • Clear Beige: Covers blemishes; matches Korean foundation shades 21–23.
  • Peach: Neutralises bluish tones and dark circles.
  • Green: Reduces facial redness.

Swatch & Texture

The texture is soft and creamy, making it easy to apply without being too dry or matte. Unlike older cream concealers, it doesn’t settle into wrinkles, which is a huge plus.

Application Tip:

  • Use a damp sponge (squeeze out excess water) and tap gently until blended.

  • Some sets include a small concealer brush for more precise application.

Coverage:

  • The green and beige tones match my skin well.
  • One or two layers usually give natural coverage, unless the blemish is really dark.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

  • Creamy, natural coverage that doesn’t settle into wrinkles.
  • Soft texture makes blending easy.
  • Helps with redness and minor blemishes.

Cons:

  • Doesn’t fully cover stubborn dark circles.

  • For heavy dark circles, you might need extra help like a colour corrector, extra layers, or even specialised treatments.

Before & After:

  • Here’s a shot of my under-eye area before applying the concealer (no filters, for a real look).
  • And here’s how it looks after applying the concealer—still natural, but with reduced dark circles.

Ingredients & Skin Considerations

Potential irritants/allergens:

Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Fragrance, Linalool, Limonene, Hexyl Cinnamal, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone

Ingredients to watch for sensitive or oily skin:

  • Paraffin, Microcrystalline Wax: petroleum-derived; may cause issues.
  • Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Squalane, Sweet Almond Oil: highly moisturising but could clog pores for oily skin types.

Conclusion

Overall, if you want a moisturising concealer that gives natural coverage and helps with redness or small blemishes, Correct Beige is a solid choice.

Tip: Pair it with a colour corrector or apply a couple of layers for better coverage, especially on stubborn dark circles.
